Luke has achieved great success in the Tweed/Murwillumbah District PSSA NRL trials. On Friday 14 March he tried out against boys from all the district schools and was put into a team with other boys. They played 2 games against 2 other teams, from which 26 boys were chosen to form a District team.
This team then competed in the Far North coast District PSSA selection trials the following Friday 21 March. They played a sequence of games from which he was selected to play in the Far North Coast team.
Subsequently, this Far North Coast team competed in the Far Norht Coast trial on Friday 28 March. They played 3 games versing teams from Lower Clarence; Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers, from which 'probables' and 'possibles' teams were created and played yet another game. Then 17 boys were chosen to form the North Coast Team to compete in the NSW School Boys Championships, held in Sydney during June.
